Mosaic Weather ("the app") is built and operated by Juhl Software, LLC. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it's used, and what choices you have. It's written in plain English on purpose — there's no hidden complexity here.
Your location. With your permission, the app reads your device's location (latitude and longitude) so it can show weather, radar, forecasts, and air-quality data for where you are. You grant this permission the first time the app asks; you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Mosaic Weather.
That's it. The app does not collect:
When the app needs to show weather data, it sends your latitude and longitude to one of several weather data providers (listed below). They return weather information for that location, which the app displays.
Your coordinates are held in your device's memory only as long as needed to make a request, then discarded. The developer does not maintain any database of users or user locations.
Saved locations you add manually (e.g., a city you searched for) are stored locally on your device — they never leave it except as part of weather data requests.
Map and radar imagery in the app is served from infrastructure operated by Juhl Software, LLC on Cloudflare's network. These requests contain only map tile coordinates (which region of the map to draw, at what zoom level) — never your precise latitude/longitude, your identity, or any tracking identifier. Like any web server, this infrastructure sees the IP address of incoming requests as part of standard operation; these are not used to identify or profile you, and no per-user records are kept.
The app makes requests to the following providers to fetch weather and related data. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing their use of the request data they receive:
The app sends only the minimum information needed to make each request — typically your latitude and longitude (or a tile coordinate for map imagery). It does not send your name, device identifier, or any tracking ID.
Because the app does not have user accounts, analytics SDKs, or advertising integrations, there is no first-party user data to share, sell, or trade. The developer has no database of users.
The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and there are no features that would prompt a child to enter personal data. If you believe your child has somehow had personal information collected, contact us at the address below — though as noted, there is no user database where such information could be stored.
Mosaic Weather offers an optional Pro subscription managed entirely through Apple's StoreKit. Your subscription is associated with your Apple ID — the developer does not see your name, email, or payment details. Apple's billing and refund policies apply.
For subscription management, see iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
If this policy changes materially, the new version will replace the text at this URL and the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continuing to use the app after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
